Historical Commemorations

30 July - 20 August Castiglione del Lago "Recitation in the Palazzo in honour of Ascanio della Corgna". Travelling theatrical event on the life and deeds of Asciano in the Palazzo della Corgna and Lion Fortress. Wednesdays and Fridays. 21 - 27 July Passignano sul Trasimeno "Palio of the Boats" Boat race between the wards of the town, on water and through the streets. Historical procession.
24 July -21 August " Hannibal Mission. A theatrical adventure in the locations of the Battle of Trasimeno. Thursdays and Saturdays. First week of August Magione
" Conspiracy in the Castle". Play performed in the Castle of the Knights of Malta. Every evening.
12 - 24 August Citta della Pieve " Palio dei Terzieri" (Competition between the wards of the city). Historical procession and "bullfight". Taverns and craftsmen's workshops open. Performances of drama and music.
